Duke of Edinburgh's Volunteering Certificate

Clifton High School pupils are given the opportunity to follow a Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme from Year 9 and a Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme from their sixteenth birthday.

As part of this challenging and rewarding extra-curricular programme, pupils are required to volunteer, giving up their time to make a difference to other people’s lives, working with charities or not-for-profit organisations. Pupils have previously undertaken volunteering work at Riding for the Disabled, Bristol Zoological Gardens, St Peter's Hospice, Cancer Research charity shops and many more.

Clifton High is pleased to announce that pupils following The Duke of Edinburgh’s programme last year completed a total of 962 hours of volunteering in their local community, equivalent to a social value of £3848! An excellent team effort – congratulations to everyone who took part.
