Former Head Girl Visits GCSE and A Level Textiles Students

Former Head Girl and A level Art and Textiles student, Helen Milne, visited the Art and Textiles Department last week to talk to GCSE and A level students about her art and design education since leaving Clifton High School.

Helen has just gained a first class honours degree in Textile Design from the world-renowned Central St Martins art college in London and is about to begin an internship with a Bristol-based design company.

Helen inspired students with her superb portfolio of recent textile design projects, particularly her work around environmental man-made pollution. With her excellent communication skills and warm personality, Helen gave the students valuable advice on how to create excellent sketchbooks for their coursework and encouraged them to consider studying Art and Design beyond GCSE and A level.

We will be following Helen’s career closely as she is definitely a rising star in the art and design world. Her work can be seen on her website:
