Last Thursday, eight Year 8 and 9 pupils, who are studying German, went to Badminton School to compete in a quiz night celebrating Fasching, a German carnival.
The Clifton High pupils formed teams with pupils from QEH, Badminton and Clifton College and were tested on rounds covering Germany, Fasching, and general knowledge. Evie and Maisie, from Year 9, and their team were overall winners of the quiz.
There was also a fancy dress competition with a theme for the evening; Die Unterwasserwelt, The Underwater World. With their innovative and topical costumes of plastic rubbish, Jack, Greer, Harry, Lauren and Maisie from Year 8 were the overall winners in this.
Well done to all the pupils who took part.
